Nobutaka Goto (b. 1966) is engaged in the production of telescopes and planetariums. He
promotes astronomy among the public by organizing public lectures and viewing nights.

(43803) Wakakinosakura = 1991 RH2 = 1999 CN41
Discovered at Geisei on 1991-09-07 by T. Seki.
Wakakinosakura is a kind of wild cherry tree discovered in 1889 by Japanese botanist Tomitaro Makino at Ogawa Castle in his hometown of Sakawa, Kochi prefecture. In 2008 seeds of the tree were carried to the Japanese module Kibo on the ISS and the cherry trees grown from the returned seeds are affectionately called Uchu-Zakura (“space cherry blossoms”).

Shigeru Muramatsu (b. 1951) is a Japanese amateur astronomer living in Imabari City, Ehime
Prefecture. He dedicates his time to outreach programs, holding public talks and observing sessions.

Oloosson, known for its white clay soil, was one of the towns that crewed the forty
ships led by Polypoetes as part of the Greek armada.

Tani Jinzan (1663–1718) was an Edo-period astronomer and calendrical scholar in Tosa
(modern-day Kochi prefecture). In 1694, using his accurate observations of the Sun,
Moon, and constellations, he determined the latitude of Kochi Castle to be 33 and a
half degrees north
