• New comet C/1999 N2(Lynn)
Lynn in Australia discovered an 8th-magnitude comet in Hydra by 10x50 binoculars on July 13. The comet sets in the evening sky at the end of twilight, but from late July it will become observable in the evening sky. The following are predictions at 20.00 JST.

• The nova in Aquila discovered by Mr. Tago(19h07m6 +12 31') on July 15 is mp=10.5 (July 16.55UT) and mp=10.4 (July 14.75 UT) according to photographic measurements at Geisei Observatory.
