Observations of C/2007 Q3 (Siding Spring) and a photograph of bright C/2009 K5 (McNaught)

The nucleus of C/2007 Q3 was split and Component B has become very faint.
C/2009 K5 has brightened to show an attractive appearance in the predawn eastern sky. This photograph was taken with Nikon D-700 at ISO 2000 and image processing was made by Mr. Shimomoto. The nucleus is sharply imaged making the positional measurements accurate.
