Reports from Geisei Observatory <April 20, 2009>

C/2009 F4 (McNaught)

Both C/2009 F4 and C/2009 F5 are close to each other in the southern sky late at night. These comets show small star-like comae unlike the feeble appearance of C/2009 G1, which looks just about to disappear. For comets like these, large aperture telescopes with slow optics can be quite effective.
