Reports from Geisei Observatory <April 18, 2007>

C/2007 D1 (LINEAR), C/2007 F1 (LONEOS), C/2007 G1 (LINEAR), C/2007 E1 (Garradd), C/2007 E2 (Lovejoy), and 96P/Machholz 1

The following are the recent observations at Geisei:
C/2007 E2 has moved northward and begun to appear quite bright. Central brightening is apparent in a broad coma.

I observed Comet Machholtz 1 through the woods at a very low altitude in the eastern sky and the positional measurements may not be very accurate. It was barely visible and the tail was not confirmed.
