• C/2003 K4 (LINEAR), C/2004 Q1 (Tucker), and C/2004 Q2 (Machholz) These comets have been recently observed. They are all visually observable with an aperture of 15cm or larger. C/2003 K4 (LINEAR) has moved up north. C/2004 Q2 (Machholz) is visible to the naked eye without much fading. There are only few measurements whose errors may exceed 1", but, because C/2004 Q2 has a large coma, the errors could be nearly +/- 2". Nine to eleven comparison stars were used. The average residual is 0.4". |
