Reports from Geisei Observatory <June 3, 2003>


• 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 1
This is a recent photograph of Schwassmann-Wachmann 1, which was takne at 3 am on June 2 with the 60cm f/3.5 reflector. The coma was approximately 20" in diameter and the total magnitude was 13.4. It did not seem to have brightened particularly, but might be brighter than usual.
The following show the comet's position about one year ago and the position determined by this observation:
