• P/2001 T3(NEAT), C/2001 Q4(NEAT), C/2001 U6(LINEAR) These comets are all faint. I observed them taking advantage of dark New Year evening skies. Two shots of C/2001 Q6(NEAT) were made in the low northwest sky, but they turned out to be 1 degree south off the center because dated predictions were used. In spite of this being the best chance for photographing these comets, I made such a silly mistake; even after 50 years of continuous observation. The value of O-C for C/2001 Q4 (NEAT) looks too large. Was the observation not accurate? A report will be made to IAU after it is checked. |
