Reports from Geisei Observatory <August 30, 2001> No.1

• Observation data: P/2001 Q2(Petriew)
It seems to have brightened a little again. In the 20cm refractor at 60x it was easily 2' in diameter. The nucleus was fainter than magnitude 13 in the photograph taken by the 60cm telescope. The total magnitude was 10.9 and it was difficult in a 8cm finderscope. It may be possible in a 12cm comet seeker if searched carefully. The following is a precise measurement by the 60cm telescope.
