Mars and Antares (Scorpius) Mars has commenced its approach to us and shows off its mysteriously red color in the sky past mid-night. Antares, Mars' main opposition, glares at Mars and looks inflating itself to compete with the brilliance of Mars. The color contrast between the two is interesting. |

The Great Summer Triangle In the northern sky Vega shines refreshingly white and forms the Great Summer Triangle with Altair and Deneb. It is about 20 degrees C in the dome and there is no chilliness in the air any more. |
