S.Pravdo,E.F.Helinと K.Lawrence(JPL)はハワイHalekalaのNEAT1.2-m反射鏡により、
5月11日の CCDイメージ上からかに座に19.9等の彗星を発見した。
Ondrejov天文台とKlet天文台のCCDによる確認観測では拡散状の約15″と
約8″〜10″のコマが見える。
