S. H. Pravdo (JPL)通報によると、1月22日、のハワイHaleakalaのNEATによりからす座に15.5等の彗星を発見した。
Cordell-Lorenz Observatoryでの観測では、南南東の方向に長さ約25″の拡散した尾がある。
