Koichi Itagaki discovers a nova in Delphinus

This is a photograph of a nova in Delphinus discovered by Mr. Koichi Itagaki. The photo was taken on the morning of August 17 using the 70cm reflector. It was at 4.5 magnitude shining golden yellow and stars in Delphinus were used as comparison stars. At the time of discovery, it was at 6th magnitude and I don?ft think it will become brighter than it is now.
I remembered the nova discovered in Delphinus by the British comet hunter George Alcock about 40 years ago. It was quite bright and became popular.

The nova in Delphinus is near the zenith and visible in binoculars.
