Reports from Geisei Observatory <October 21, 2009>

217P/LINEAR

The following are the latest observations of 217P/LINEAR.
The coma has become fainter as a whole. The bright star at the center is magnitude 8.8 (GSC). The glow of the comet to the right shows a slight and faint trail to the west. The star-like nucleus is very clear. I believe that the positions are accurately measured and effective to determine a non-gravitational effect.
