Reports from Geisei Observatory <August 2, 2009>

C/2006 W3 (Christensen), C/2009 O4 (Hill), and 22P/Kopff

I observed taking advantage of small clear patches in the dawn sky near the end of the rainy season.
Jupiter rises in the southeastern sky in the evening. Around the time when the short summer night ends, Venus begins to shine with extraordinary brightness. In the southeastern sky the familiar appearance of Orion become visible.
