P/2009 F3 (LINEAR) = 217P/LINEAR, C/2009 F5 (McNaught)

    Both comets are relatively faint in the southern sky. The magnitudes of the nuclei are given here, as Geisei's optics are slow. If the coma of each comet were captured in photographs, the magnitudes would be a little brighter. Resurrecting the observing method of more than 10 years ago, we are tackling faint comets.
