• A photo of disintegrated 157P/Tritton
157P/Tritton has become like an overnight train running in the darkness of space. It is stretched over 55" along the orbit looking like a string of rope. Several small nuclei in a straight line resemble lighted windows, but not much more is seen with this aperture.
Shoemaker-Levy 9 showed more nuclei and more clearly. 157P/Tritton is a small version of S-L 9.
