Reports from Geisei Observatory <March 20, 2003>

• Photo of C/2002 Y1 (Juels-Holvorcem)
In spite of drifting clouds, the weather has improved in the evening. After a period of unfavorable weather I had a chance to observe C/2002 Y1 at a very low altitude in the evening sky. It came into view around 19:00 in the 20cm refractor at 60x, but it didn't live up to my expectations. There was no tail detected with m1 being 7.5 and D being rather small 2.5'.

The following are the positions obtained by the 60cm telescope.
