Reports from Geisei Observatory<December 4, 2000>

• Comet Tuttle-Giacobini-Kresak has become fainter. It was supposed to continue to brighten until perihelion in January. Had it been too bright? The following observation shows that the photographic magnitude was 13.9 and the visual magnitude (by the 20cm refractor) 11.3.

C/1999T1 seems to be losing its brightness.

• 70P/Kojima will fade gradually. The coma is very small and the total brightness is 18 magnitude. The observed position is +4" off the orbit in declination calculated by Mr. Muraoka. I measured the positions repeatedly with the same results. What would the cause of this deviation be?
