The Milky Way and Mars

This photo was taken by a 35mm camera on July 14 after a groups of visitors from a local primary school had left the Observatory. The atmospheric conditions were excellent. This was the best view of the Milky Way in three years. Mars close to Antares was a memorable sight. It was a return of light-pollution-free skies at Geisei.
