• January 30, 2003 It is my routine to stroll along Kagami River between daytime guitar lessons, while contemplating the stars. Once upon a time Sakamoto Ryoma (Kochi-born samurai warrior) bathed in this river. In winter geese migrate from Siberia and swim around on the peaceful river. Birds seem to have a discipline or rule for group living. When the leader senses a sign of a human or dog, it honks to signal the danger to otheres and the whole flock moves off shore at once. We will have more rainy days around the time when the geese are no longer seen. |
